your suggestion could be a simple as "put the letters 'GPI' onto the shirt"...and if everyone likes that idea, then we'll do it :)

maybe put a listing of our events throughout the conference on the back.
So on flickr the tags are different sizes based on how frequently they are mentioned, and it looks kinda cool. I prefer an image on at least one side of the shirt, but on the other we could have like 'key conference words' of different sizes based on how relevant.
ie. words like learn, motivate, action, global, poverty, connection, development could be larger sized and dispersed among smaller sized words like appropriate technology, jeff sachs, john legend, paul farmer, world bank, microfinance, 2008, Millennium Dev Goals (maybe medium sized) etc (more conference-specific words)
make sense, ish? if you go to flickr i think you'll understand...otherwise...email me...
i like the words "educate", "empower", "inspire"... or maybe the names of the 5 tracks?
For the graphic, maybe a globe somewhere on there...
in addition to having different sized text, you could bold different words as well. I like the words christine is suggesting too.
The quote "we can be the generation that eradicates poverty. will you be a part of it?" is something we already seem to use pretty frequently. Are we allowed to make that part of our shirt?
Maybe the first part of the quote could go on the front, then "will you be a part of it?" on the back, and below that, Millennium Campus Conference April 18-20, 2008. smaller and still below, GPI logo, MCN logo, maybe sponsorship logos?
And i think barack obama has already used this, but he hasn't copyrighted it yet, so we could just have 'Come be a part of change" + cool image on one side, "fight poverty. Millennium Campus conference Apri etc etc"
By the way, I really like the blue with yellow and white for the current GPI shirt. could we keep same color scheme for either staff or normal shirts? I also like the font on the poster thingy we have now better than the font on the design that's posted. The colors on that are nice too though.

I really like the quotes you propose, but I would be wary of putting a quote associated with one of the candidates on the t-shirt because people, depending on their political bend, might take it the wrong way.
I think it would be nice to have the logos of our sponsors as long as it is not a large amount of them.
For the blue/white/yellow scheme, what color would the text be?
color scheme I was thinking of was blue shirt with mainly white text, and yellow text for words we want to stand out. If you've seen the current gpi shirt, that's kind of what I have in mind.
another idea that just came to me...if you look at Cherry's MDG packet that she sent out. The very last page and the 3rd to last page have a tree thing on it that I think looks really cool and leaves room for any words we might want to put. just another idea...:)
